John Finney and Elizabeth Mitchell married in 1784 in Belford and had 14 children. Jane (b 1804) had an illegitimate son, John, in 1831, the reputed father being John Pringle. John Finney married Margaret Allen, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (nee Smith) in 1854. Their daughter, Margaret, married into the Turnbull family.  back

John Mason married Ann Collin in 1775 in Easington, Dur. Their son, Robert Mason, moved at some point, to Wallsend where he married Mary Dawson, daughter of Thomas in 1800. Son Joseph Mason, (1815-1886) married Isabella Bailey (possibly the daughter of Anthony and Jane (nee Wigham). Their daughter, Jane, had four illegitimate children before marrying Mark Hall in 1773 in Morpeth. back

John Buddle (abt 1748-1809) married Elizabeth Forster in 1768 in Elsdon. Their son, John, married Isabella Milburn, daughter of John and Margaret of Sweethope, Thockrington, in 1814 in Elsdon. Their daughter Margaret married John Percey. back

John Miller (1768-1822) and Elizabeth Neal (abt 1774-1845) were the parents of George Miller, born 1808 in Norham. He married Elizabeth Collingwood. Their daughter, Isabella Elizabeth, married Thomas Ogle in 1872. back

John Pearson (abt 1750-1810) was married to Jane. Their son, John, was born in Widdrington in 1789, the family later moving to Alnwick. The younger John married Isabella Eadington there in 1809. The couple moved soon afterwards to Togston Barns, where John died in 1831. Son Henry married Jane Short, daughter of William, in 1846. back

William Percey was reputedly born in Chester-le-Street, Durham. His son John was born in 1811 in Wallsend and married Margaret Buddle in 1834 in South Shields. Daughter Elizabeth was born in Benton Square in 1841. She later married William Wilkinson. back

Thomas Tait is believed to be the son of William and Elizabeth, born in 1814 in Wooperton, Eglingham, but the entry in Glanton Register is far from clear. Thomas lived at The Mile, Whittingham, and was married to Mary Knox, daughter of George and Mary of Doddington. Their son, John, was born in 1849 and married Mary Jane Pearson in 1874. They lived at Bothal, where daughter Rachel was born in 1878. She married John Hall of Ashington. back

John Donaldson, (abt 1727-1772) married Ann Bolton (1730-1814) in Cornhill in 1755. Their daughter Dorothy, who married Thomas Caisley, was born in 1765. back

James Purvis married Jane Wake in 1768 in Widdrington. Their son, John, married Ann Gildroy of Wooler, daughter of James and Mary (nee Young), in 1806 in Bedlington. They had a daughter, Jane, in Longbenton in 1806 who later married George Anderson.  back

Several generations of the Caisley family lived in Rothbury. Thomas married Ann Oliver in 1736. Their eldest son, William, married Isabel Davison in 1764. Their son, Thomas, married Dorothy Donaldson in 1793 in Coldstream. Their daughter Ann married into the Turnbull family. back

Bartholomew Walker married Mary Dixon in 1720/1 in Shottley. Their son , Bartholomew, married Elizabeth (maiden name unknown) and had a daughter Elizabeth in Blanchland in 1758. She married Henry Gladders. back

Michael Wilkinson (abt 1783-1871) married Margaret Gladders. Their son, William (b 1813) married Jane Errington in Tynemouth. Of their children, William (b 1840) married Elizabeth Percey in 1859 in Tynemouth. Their daughter, Janet, married into the Turnbull family. back

John Reveley, born about 1715 married Jane Eadington in 1740. Their daughter, Bridget, was born in 1755 at Hazelrigg, Chatton, and married Robert Hall in 1774.  back
