We’re very interested in connections with  the Reverend Jonathan Boucher who was born in Blencogo, Cumberland, England in 1738. He lived in Virginia and Maryland from 1758-1775, at which time he returned to England and settle in Epsom, Surrey. He married: Eleanor Addison of Oxon Hill, Maryland Mary Elizabeth Foreman of Epsom, Surrey Elizabeth James, nee Hodgson, of Carlisle, Cumberland. Jonathan’s sister, Mary Boucher, married Isaac Tordiff in Bromfield. Nothing is known of Isaac’s ancestry. Jonathan stated he was related to John Thomlinson of Blencogo Hall. We have no evidence to prove this link as yet. Jonathan died in 1804.
