We have two Eadington lines, and seem to be gathering any references to this name that we can find. Our database is not enormous, but we’d be happy to search it for anyone interested.
Isabella Eadington was born in Norham in 1789, the illegitimate daughter of Peter Eadington and Isabella Mather. She married John Pearson in 1809 in Alnwick. Peter Eadington, the son of David, was a miller who also lived in Alnwick. (He also seems to have been known as Patrick from time to time.) There were several Peter Eadingtons around. We think we know which one we’re looking for, but aren’t completely sure. We’ve struggled over this one for years. We suspect there may be some connection with Coldingham in Scotland, but have no proof as yet.

Jane Eadington married John Reveley in 1740 in Chillingham. From a will, we know that she was the daughter of Mark Eadington of Branxton, who married Mary Cleghorn in 1714. But where did Mark come from and where were all his children baptised?
